Политическая группировка в Палате представителей - умеренные республиканцы [Republican Party], склоняющиеся к поддержке демократов [Democratic Party]. Подобно гусеницам непарного шелкопряда, которые, питаясь листьями, уничтожают деревья, эта группировка "кусочек за кусочком" разрушает республиканскую группировку в Палате. Большая часть этих конгрессменов избрана в северо-восточных штатах [East] и на Среднем Западе [Midwest], где как раз и обитает шелкопряд.
